Are free-to-play players allowed to join the clan?
Yes. Free-to-play players are welcome, though we generally avoid hosting recruitment parties in F2P worlds.
Can I invite my alt account into the clan?
Yes. Just let us know when an account belongs to you and we will permanently match its rank to your main account.
What happens if I leave and later rejoin the clan?
Most players are welcome to return if they left quietly or on good terms. Rejoining members normally restart at Learner rank, unless an admin chooses to restore their previous rank.
Can I stay in the clan if I take breaks from the game?
Yes. As long as you show occasional activity when you are online (chatting in the cc, receiving broadcasts in the chat), you will generally be protected from inactivity sweeps.

What timezone is the clan most active in?
The community is primarily based in the United States:

Because of this spread, there are usually players online throughout most of the day.
Is the clan family-friendly or more casual/mature?
The atmosphere is casual and more mature. Conversation is relaxed, but harassment and toxic behavior are not tolerated.
Do I have to talk a lot to be part of the clan?
Not at all. You can participate as much or as little as you like. Some members are very social while others play quietly.
Do clan members boss together?
Yes. Members often organize bossing groups or duos in the clan chat, and occasionally we host bossing events.

Is Discord required to be in the clan?
No. Discord is optional.
Is Discord required to participate in events?
Usually no, but event organizers may require Discord for high-risk activities such as raids or PK events.

Are events mandatory?
No. All events are completely optional.
Do events have rewards or prizes?
Usually events are just for fun, but organizers may offer prizes. The clan typically hosts at least one free bond drawing every Saturday, and occasional drop parties in the clan hall.
Can members suggest new events?
Yes. Submit suggestions through the event form here.
Can members host their own events?
Yes. Anyone may organize an event informally.
However, posting events in official places (clan settings, Discord listings, website calendar) requires Guthixian rank or higher.

How does the Scurvy Frogs ranking system work?
Ranks are primarily based on time spent in the clan, with optional bonuses that can accelerate progress.

How long does it take to reach the highest non-admin rank?
Without any bonus progression, the final civilian rank is reached exactly one year after joining.
Some players have reached it much faster by earning large bonus day rewards through notable achievements.
